Today's updates may be a bit confusing as I am also reading up on todays lab for class...any one up for Synthesis of Bromoacetanilides??
Gotta love being in college.
Although in truth I did skip my first two classes today due to a migraine, but labs are too hard to skip and make up, so yea, off I go to play with caustic chemicals...wheee!!
So weekend updates!!
My friends and I drove up to West Virginia (it took us about 6 1/2 hours from my university) to go snowboarding for the first time ever!
Well guess what!?!?!? We all suck at it. lol
No seriously, we were eating lots and lots of fake snow. I have several luscious bruises, and I'm still sore even though Saturday was the day we actually went!
It was pretty cool.
We drove up Friday, sat around out cute little cabin, got drunk, watched Aqua Teen Season 5.
Saturday we got organized, crammed six of us into a five person car (I was sitting across everyone's laps in the backseat lol) and then called all of our respective families to inform them we got their safely the day prior. Apparently mountains get shoddy cell reception and only one phone out of six worked.
After waiting in lines forever we got all of our gear and headed out to the slopes, and proceeded to bust ass for the rest of the day.
At the cabin we napped hardcore, watched Aqua Teen, ate, watched Monster Squad and crashed like there was no tomorrow.
Sunday was fun. We all woke up sore and in pain. After cleaning and packing we went to the Greenbanks Astronomy Lab that was right down the street from us. Apparently the area we were in was a designated quiet zone for the lab, so there was little wonder we had no cell reception. However we played like little children with all the fun science toys. I think we had more fun there than snowboarding!!
Sadly, we had to leave, our group split up since half of us had to return to Greenville, and the others to Charlotte, it was sad, but we had a good time.
