@drocculari
I finished reading Gladiator Girl yesterday, and i really enjoyed the book.
I decided to read it on Wednesday, it's been on my kindle for a while, waiting for the right moment. I never expected to be so hooked as I was, to read it in a few runs.
The distopic vision is just too cool, unlike most "brother eye" vs "perfect society" kinda future, we are presented to a functional and at the same time imperfect society which doesn't seem that distant from our own.
The technology and mysticism are very original, being presented gradually throughout the story, mixed in their own contexts in a way that you don't fell like the characters are just trying to explain it to the reader.
Even the coincidences in the plot are well fused with the goddesses mystic, creating an interesting duality with the technological scenery (inscrutable mysteries).
And the characters, well, let me just say that Lucy, Charlotte and the others will stay on my imagination (with a special supporting character spot reserved for Serendipity, I really could read a whole book about her).
I easily see this universe as a long run comic or tv series.
So thanks, for this amazing trip and sorry if I misunderstood something.
