isinglass- A transparent, almost pure gelatin prepared from the air bladder of the sturgeon and certain other fishes and used as an adhesive and a clarifying agent. Used especially in british beers (ie Newcastle)



In J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth, Isengard, a translation of the Sindarin Angrenost, was a large fortress. Isengard was built in the Second Age around the tower of Orthanc by the Nmenreans in exile. (Having nothing to do with beer or fish)

We ate at Watercourse on Sunday later afternoon. I like the new space, but it's odd to not have it in the old place.
