Uh and that is your fault how? I remember when I was in DEP and had to get tested every weekend by my recruiter. He couldn't control what I did 6.75 other days of those weeks so how can you control those kids??? I know we take quite a bit of fault for stuff beyond our control in the military but if you get blamed for that I have to say that will be pretty fucked up! Make sure you read up on your rights to time off as relates to the Family Medical Leave Act; I believe parents fall under that jurisdiction as well as the usual spouse and kids. So if you need some leave time to help out your mother, you've got it and can approach the situation correctly to get the results you require.
