Okay, I'm back. Only time for a massive, poorly edited ramble, so here goes:
Been absolutely crazy-busy with work, schoohl, and things I wind up volunteering to do for friends.
Okay, first things first, lip balm recipe. It's not a great one, yet, but it is one that doesn't suck, and I've been happily using to balm made with this method.
1 part grated beeswax
3 parts coconut oil
itsy bit of honey
heat the oil and wax in a jar placed in simmering water. When it all liquifies, take off heat and add the honey, stirring well. Pour into your chosen container. Do NOT use film containers, as is suggested on many websites. Film contains all sorts of nasty heavy metals and chemicals you don't want on your sweet little lips.
Still haven't finished the switchplates, as I'm running around like a crazy person. Will post some pics in the craft group when they are done, tho.
Anyone in the St. Pete area, please do me a massive favor and go have a cup of java at The Phoenix Coffeehouse. The owner is having trouble staying above water, and if we don't go there, the place won't be there to go to.
Went thrifting last Wednesday and got the most bad ass sweater. It's a calf-length cardigan, sort of an olive green color. My fiance says that it looks like super-luxe astroturf. I've been wearing it non-stop, as it has been freakin' COLD here lately!
That's all I can think of for now... Miss you all, will be around more soon!
Kisssssss,
Vi
