Help me choose. I have to pick a composer to do a semester-long project on (ack, bad grammar, but you know what I mean). Here's the list I can choose from:

-Franz Liszt -Richard Wagner
-Giuseppi Verdi -Anton Bruckner
-Johannes Brahms -Peter Tchaikovsky
-Antonin Dvorak -Gustav Mahler
-Claude Debussy -Jean Sibelius
-Richard Strauss -Dmitri Shostakovich
-Bela Bartok -Arnold Schoenberg
-Igor Stravinsky -Leonard Bernstein

I want to do Wagner, but am cursed with a last name that is late in the alphabet, so the chances of that are slim. Stravinsky? Dvorak?

The instructor also said he'd consider any classical composer not on the list if we could convince him that that composer is worthy of inclusion. Think I can sell him on Duke Ellington as a classical composer?
