i'm sad that your kitty is going to have to undergo "wrap it in a blanket and squirt stuff in the corner of the feline nun's mouth"! that is no fun, our little black cat "baby" (who's actually a geriatric bitch) has had so many gingivitis infections, we're very good at this game now. i shouldn't say that, she's only a bitch when she decides, "i vaaaant to be alone", and you didn't interpret her tail properly and you kept petting her, THEN she's a bitch.
you know, i bet if you jumped in the car and drove along the coast for a weekend by yourself, bring some drugs/alcohol, munchies, and a notepad, you'd get a little mini flood to replenish yourself. it's not exactly plucking yourself out of your everyday life and being immersed somewhere completely different, but sometimes when I need to not hear/see my everyday environment, that's what i do...except driving here isn't nearly as majestic as the pacific coast. finding some hilarious 1950's motel that's falling apart and it's called "paradise get-away land" is more what i experience in southern ontario...not exactly tall pines and blue ocean. oh well, you get what you get sometimes, you know? i don't do it often, but when i do, it feels so good to just be by myself with nowhere in particular to go, and i always try to drink a few beers in the local watering hole, i always meet the strangest folks, although i'm sure they think the same of me. i know it's hard to take time away when you're working and going to school, but it sounds like you could use some time away to help get those words'a flowin'.

I love cats so much and as soon as I get my own place again I'm going to get some.
