I won my disc golf tournament for my newly “promoted” division. Basically over the summer I won a tournament in my previous division and decided to move up to the next even though my rating dictates I could stay out for awhile. So this was only my second tournament as a legit Intermediate player.
Well first round I beat my best ever score by 3 strokes and shot one under par. With one bogey and two birdies and lots of pars. That was enough to take the lead the first round. Good round for me but didn’t think it was lead worthy for the division.
Second round I’m grouped with the 2nd through 4th place guys. I’m all over the place but up and down. Had 6 birdies, 3 bogeys, 2 double bogeys and the rest pars... finished one over par. Even for the day. That was enough to win by two strokes.
Well this is my third one of these trophies each for a different division. This is my favorite win because I showed up today expecting to just have fun and be in the middle of the pack
