Monday I went into work and the job award was posted for the new position I signed. I lucked out. Basically I am going back to my old position that I enjoyed, but now I am finally going to day shift. I will have to relinquish my lead man status, but that's ok. Will be losing $2.50/hr in pay grade, but just going back to what I was making before, so not a big deal. Less BS, on day shift, and more OT availability. Oh, and I will be able to enjoy life with the wife for once.
Now after the last two nights, I can't wait to take on my new role. It's been a stressful past few days. I just have to wait till the first shift guy fully retires in like 3 months, or gets an attitude and just up and leaves.
