So there are some 1,100 SuicideGirls, and geopraphically not a single one mentioned for Nebraska. WTF!?!
Alright, so right now I am in Somerset, Massachussettes. I got a call at 8:30 yesterday morning asking if I can run on a plugging job, and I agreed. Well Half way here, I got a call from the shop asking if I can go work on a condenser.
Well, Monday morning I am leaving for Nebraska, home of the cornhuskers. I will be there approximately 3 weeks. To be honest, I don't really want to go, but I really need the work, so I have to. I don't want to be away from Heather that long, its gonna be hard. Or be away from my friends either. Threes weeks is a long time.
I have only been on one other construction job and it was kinda lonely. Normally when I am on the road, I travel there, work a day or two, then move on. So I don't really have to think of a way to occupy my time, I just deal with it for the usual night or two. But with these construction jobs, I need to stay there for weeks and get comfortable. But I am not like anyone else in the crew so it will be weird and awkward for me.
Hopefully I am hoping I can work a way to get my own room. That would be better than sharing a room because I won't have to share a room and feel like I can't be entirely myself. Then I dont have to worry about my stuff just sitting around either. On a lighter note, it would be somewhat cool to see some of our hillbilly West Virginian co-workers. There was a younger guy there who may be a little interesting to hang out with. I wish I could at least take my bike or something, but I probably won't even have time for that. I at least better have internet at what ever hotel they put us up in.
Its gonna be a LOOOOOONG three weeks.
