It saddens me today to have to say that after an 8 month battle with leukemia... my wonderful mother has passed. Her chemo treatments were only making her weaker and destroying her immune system. The depleted immune system ultimately left her open to contract pneumonia, which made her breathing hard and eventually got the best of her. I don't think I told her often enough...
