Threw my annual closet cleaning/ clothing swap/ barter & trade party this evening. In these economic times, it's more important than ever to watch the pennies, is it not? It was so much fun. There's something to be said for a silly night with the girls, especially when pitchers of ginger martinis (made by my best friend) are involved. So delish. Some good trades were made. Me? I picked up a shiny new bauble or two. Also picked up a piece of artwork I'd been wanting. More important than things, however, was the sheer joy of hanging out with friends and having a good laugh. Isn't that what life's about? I love my girlfirends, I really do. Just the sort of night I needed to calm the nerves before this upcoming conference.
