NEW ART

The one one my journal worked for me.... Damn free sights, sometimes they act up.

Yeah, I create blockprints, intaglio, and I have screenprinted, though I must say that's not my favorite (For Me) to do. Too much cleaning for only ten minutes of printing. Beastly.

I'm working on two different series right now and I have two clotheslines hanging in my studio full of prints! I'm doing three color registration on both of them, and this is the first time I have used oil based ink in my studio (Which is in my home). It takes forever to dry! Grrr.... IT's been a week, they are still sticky.... grrr... I was only using water based printmaking ink because the cleanup is so much easier at home, but the color's lack brillance and they only make so many, very narrow range of the palette. Sigh..... Why won't the companies realize you have to have the WARM and the COLD tones of the primaries to make a better range.... You can't make good purples with vermillion or cadmium pigments... to much damn orange!!!

Sorry, done ranting now.

I'll check out your sight soon.

Enjoy smile

yeah, I know, but I'm using etching inks and they're stiffer, and I could probably mix a drier anyways, but I don't have any and I don't like how it degrades the color. I like that saturated color quality. I did put a space heater in the room to suck the moisture out and that seemed to speed up the process a bit.

I have no job - I sold a painting and a print - must sell more - finished reading Temple of the Golden Pavillion - Mishima - and The Blood Meridian - McCarthy - currently on Norwegian Wood - Murakami - going to paint a house today

My library had no Mishima short stories, so I got the Temple of the Golden Pavillion. I'm less than half way through, but I like it. I still have no job, but I have an art show that opens on the 15th.
