Back for a few days...I missed the net! Should be all set up and running for real on Saturday so I wont have to hijack wifi anymore.

Well...I'm going to be away for a couple of weeks. I dunno if I'll get on here. Things have been slow but I'll still miss seeing what people are up to. Hope everyone starting a new chapter does well.

I read three books in Italy. Off to buy more books and get some last minute bits before I go to Ireland later. Air miles yay.

Currently washing, ironing and packing for my trip(s) away.

First I'm off to Italy: Genova, Como and maybe Firenze, then over to Ireland: Carlow and Offaly.

I've several books to read along the way but looking forward to reading Outcast United I'm thinking of using extracts of it with my classes next year.

Any other books I MUST read this summer?

I spent an interesting morning in A&E. You meet all sorts: mad men ranting away to themselves (I swear he was the last remaining Neanderthal), men with gouged out eyes, women on drips smoking outside.

This is better than Big Brother!

And the worst thing is, you're always in there for hours! And there's always at least one loud-mouthed cunt being a complete prick.
I went to A&E recently and there were these three young people in there, two guys, one girl... the guys had obviously been involved in some bar fight or something, and the girl was pissed out of her head. One of the guys had a big, nasty cut on his eye. Then this old guy comes in with his wife. He's there for a few minutes when he gets called through. The drunk guy and his girlfriend kick off cos he "jumped in front of them".
Yeah, he was probably having a heart attack, whereas you have a cut. Fuck off!

And the smokers on drips outside is always a pretty sad sight.
