Right, it has been a while, and essentially work just got super crazy. I have a day off now so I thought I would share a blog with you.
In fact, it is a topic that @rambo and @missy have given us for homework. However, I am feeling nostalgic (I do now work at a Lego store - FTW!) so I thought I would be sentimental about it.
Of course I love a million movies. That is probably a gross exaggeration but I definitely love a lot of movies. However, there is one type of movie which always hits home for me:
Pretty much any movie involving the themes of: being an orphan; adoption; and finding family.
So of course, this brings us to movies such as Annie, Anastasia, Despicable Me, Tangled, Tarzan, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, and Juno. This of course is just naming a few off the top of my head.
Now before anyone gets overly 'oh you poor soul' on me: I was not orphaned. I am, however, adopted, although the paper work was completed before my day of birth and my mom got me pretty much the same day (much like the baby in Juno, except my biological mother was 19).
I just think I have a strange empathy with the characters in the movies, as though that could of been me. Anyway, let us just put it down to my family orientated nature.
Now, out of the countless movies, there is one which grabbed my heart the most. I think the reason for this is because it came out during a period of my life where I was completely lost, didn't know who I was and where I belonged. It was during this time that I listened to what others had to say, and believed that if I found my biological mother I would find where I belonged.
If any of this sounds familiar, then the movie you have guessed is Meet the Robinsons
Lewis is the main character in the movie, and he is this awesome genius inventor. Of course, his inventions get in the way of him getting adopted and he is quickly approaching the age where adoption is going to be pretty much out of the questions. (The sad truth of the movie is that no one wants to adopt older kids. They do only want to adopt babies and maybe toddlers.)

After interview 124 goes wrong, the owner of the orphanage gives an inspirational speech where she tries to remind Lewis that he is wanted and loved and that his biological mother may have given him up because she couldn't take care of him. This of course caused twelve-year old Lewis to come to the conclusion that the only person to have ever cared for him is his biological mother.

This of course lead to the creation of an incredible invention, a long adventure involving Bowler Hat Guy, and an awesome Dinosaur as well as Time Travel.

And of course, where I get super girly (so I guess this now counts as a confession blog!) is that Rob Thomas sings the main song for the movie called 'Little Wonders' which makes me girly cry every time I hear it. So naturally here is the video:
There is a surprise in MR for you guys as well, coming in about a week. However more of that for my next blog.
