On Wednesday, our fifth day in Florida, we awoke on our own to Lita's empty house. Wyspurr and I milled about for a long, long while with the same thought. "I hope Brenda gets here soon." We were in mutual agreement that we really liked her and looked forward to seeing her. We didn't have to wait too long, though and...

We woke Monday morning to Lita's son watching cartoons, as Wyspurr and I were sleeping on the futon in the livingroom. It was the first time I'd seen the tyke since he was but a year old. He's grown so much but he's still a darling. It made me happy that he remembered us even after all this time.
Lita made...

Sunday started out with a nice breakfast, then Mom and Jim taking us out on the lake in their boat. It was the kids first time on a boat and they had a blast. It was kind of fun for us too, though I wasn't able to enjoy it too much as I was rather busy tending Rachael while Wyspurr was...

Wyspurr and I got a very late start on our adventure to Florida. We'd intended to leave early Friday evening, but due to circumstances pretty much beyond our control we didn't leave until this morning around half past ten. That sadly meant we had to cut our visit to Laputa out of the picture, which was very disappointing. We arrived in...

We took to the road, several hours later than we'd planned, only for Wyspurr to realize that she was really tired. Thus, we have returned to the apartment and put the kids to bed so that we can have a quick scrog and a bit of sleep before heading out again in the morning.
Okay, we have a bit clearer idea of what we're doing now. After we pay rent today, we're loading up the car and heading off to Valdosta. I expect we'll be leaving around 6pm, which I guess we'll put us in at Laputa's around 11pm. We'll hang out there a bit, let Wyspurr get some rest, then head...

Well, I've done it. I've quit the Dark Horse Tavern. I didn't go in today. The busiest night of the week for the kitchen there, and I just didn't go. I told them last night that I quit...that I was just going to work out my shift and that would be the end of it...but they didn't believe me. I almost...

le sigh.
Management has been lying to me at work. I'm fed up with this drama. I don't know whether I'm going to go to work anymore. It's pretty clear that they aren't hiring Dan back. It's pretty obvious they've been blowing smoke up my ass to keep me from quitting. I don't trust anyone there anymore and I don't like anyone in management...

I made it through tonight okay. Just three or four more nights of work, then my vacation begins. It's up in the air whether they're going to make me work on Friday, which was supposed to be when I leave for Florida. I hope I don't have to. That's going to really put us behind and make it so that...

Dark Rob has been fired. Dark Dustin, the major asshole, is now kitchen manager. Now Dark Dan doesn't have his job back. My beautiful schedule of almost all mid-shifts has been ripped away and replaced with me working the next five days, almost all closing shifts. I am in hell.
