I hate watching one of my best friend's lives fall completely apart, helpless to do much of anything to make the situation better. katfireblade is getting shafted on both ends by both her roommates and her landlord and now she's going to lose her home. I have to be at work at 4 am tomorrow and was really looking forward to resting this evening but instead I'm going to be helping her load all her stuff into a U-Haul to put in storage because she can't trust to leave her things in her house while she's away for the holiday.

"Down there are people who will follow any dragon, worship any god, ignore any iniquity. All out of a kind of humdrum, everyday badness. Not the really high, creative loathesomeness of the great sinners, but a sort of mass-produced darkness of the soul. Sin, you might say, without a trace of originality. They accept evil not because they say *yes*, but because they don't say *no*.""
