My favourite Miike film is Ichi the Killler. It's the most twisted yakuza film I've seen. Have you seen Happiness of the Katakuris? Miike tried to squash so many different genres together in one movie, the end result was confusing and just plan weird.

Yeah, I agree with you. The language, clothes and makeup they used to identify the various dance groups was very reminiscent of gangland culture. It was a sad film actually. Those people have little hope of escaping the confines of their enviroment through dance.

I don't wanna tell you this really, but I never slept last night. We were having a great session (!!! It was like that! Totally weird that I promptly deposited that picture before reading your comment requesting a new picture. But it obviously would've been done reguardless.
