Bollocks! It's soooo warm! My room is right at the top of the house and the heat has risen. My fan seems to be an exercise in futility, since it serves to MOVE the warm air to parts of my body which WEREN'T that hot... I'm gonna pass out.. I think I'll move my computer to the cellar.. At least i can then get trolleyed...

Blech. Horridness is all over the globe today. Yes, I know I just made up a word. I do that sometimes.

I'll be going to the festival prepared with loads of sunscreen. That bastard sun wont get me. Tanning's for the fucking birds and the vain. My birthdays are usually disastrous, so hopefully this one will be cool.

Do you ever get the craving for milk? Not our vegan friends here, since I don't know if soya milk has the same addictive qualities.. biggrin
I do, but its only under very particular conditions. Its super hot and Im REALLY dehydrated. Ive been out on my mountain bike for the past few days, without fail... I got in today and downed two pints of milk......

Thunderstorms rock and rule. I want some too *pouts*..

I dont like milk- not any more, not since I became vegan for the first time in 1997. But I do get a horrible craving for yogurt every now and then, actually all sour milk products. Thats the main obstacle between me and being a good vegan. wink

I get a craving for the fruit-flavoured soy milk, though. And soy chocolate milk. Yum.

Just got back from a 'scrote raid' on my mountain bike through the woods....

The bandidos were indeed lurking in the place they usually do. They did NOT however count on Vampsinthe pushing nearly 45mph.. Not to sound too wussy, but thats pretty fast for me.. smile I came screaming down the hill with my stadium halogen lights cutting through the woods. One dickhead stepped out...

Feeling odd... Not happy. Not sad.
Just got back from an odd barbeque with a bunch of odd people. They live in a rather odd house in a distinctly odd part of town. Their choice of bbq food was somewhat odd and they garnished it in a decidedly odd manner. I enjoyed their company yet they furnished me with occasional odd glances...
Has anyone else...

Hiya all....

A bit of sobering few days to report really, Im afraid. Thursday night, practice was cancelled because mates were waiting at our rehearsal rooms to tell us Kev, our drummer had come off his motorbike. Of course, noone could get in touch with Kev, and the story had been round the Warrington rumour mill by then. As it happened his bike wasn't shaped...

No, that's two separate bands - they ain't related to the Skeletones as far as I know.

Y'know Vampsinthe, I'm actually scared of bikes?

Condolences on your uncle Al, these things are never good.

On a lighter note though, my chances of turning up in Manchester next week are looking good. Now it's all down to whether I can get the Friday afternoon off work, otherwise the trains down just ain't feasible. Wish me luck. Maybe I should talk to Cakemix about sharing a hotel.

could you cheer me up?....i think i need it...xoxox

Ah.. Starting to look forward to a visit from the SG gang. It's going to be a fantastic night. I'd imagine it will also increase the 'beautiful, sexy people' quota in Rockworld by about 80% love biggrin

Doraemon is currently sitting in my bowler/derby hat, since he was still a bit damp... If it was any cooler I would have put him next to the radiator.. Damn...

"Women will sleep with you even if you write a BAD book" --hey, no one will come down on you that hard if you write that mediocre book on Fiasco Love.

Speaking of which, I will be flying into Dublin in August. My boyfriend's family lives in Derry; we'll be staying about 3 weeks. Not that this matters -- I'm sure I'll be at his mercy all 3 weeks.

I just thought it was interesting to think we'd be as close to being in the same part of the world as we'll probably ever be, but we'll never meet, and it wouldn't matter anyway because we're strangers anyhow. Kinda romantic, if you ask me.

Do you go to school in Manchester? Or do you actually just live there? I hear it's a crazy town.
cakemix:
glad to hear you got home ok sweetie (poor you little one bak @ the parental's - and its is what i might have to do if i head back to so cal this year) and i'm even gladder to hear that kev isn't too badly hurt! (bad memories of my dad's accident - did i tell you he was paralysed from a bike accident?)

pity its his wanking arm, but let him know if he needs any help that i may be up there next weekend...lol...my night with metalchick was short and sweet. her gf is so besotted with her its lovely to watch - well, actually its quite horny to watch...

you know = i was never a nma fan. i was always so wound up with the bands that i knew the members of personally that my music taste didn't branch out too much - but damn i do have lots of tales to tell...think about hotels in the area and let me know where you think we should book - gotta be somewhere we can party and not get thrown out - although i'd rather you didn't throw the tv out the window as i like a bit of mtv/cnn while having hotel sex!

"NOW YOU!!!"

Okay, okay.

It's not so exciting, truth be told. When drunk enough, I used to sing with Lightyear. And that's about it.

Of course, this was a long time ago, and well before they were actually any good.

I had a habit of DJing and promoting gigs around Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Stoke... later Edinburgh and now Glasgow. But I've not been on a stage since the Lightyear thing.
nickysonic:
I think you just contact Nic. It shouldn't be a problem, if you say you were out that day but didn't make it to the Ice Wharf and that yr a friend of cakemix. She's a very reasonable young lady.

Ive run out of beer....
There seems to be a power cut outside. All the street lights are off, and delightfully the trafford centre' blue and green aura of light pollution seems to have disappeared. Im pretty glad the house still has power. It means I can witter on here likeI actually have something interesting to say...
I have to get away from here, soon....

Just back from a bad couple of hours in the Trafford Centre... Im feeling bilious. I can't begin the cleansing process until you all know... Feel Vampsinthe's (paltry) wrath, summoned from his very marrow:-

Death to ALL out of town monstro-shopping malls. The soul crushing, castle of commerce and den of sum and all that is wrong with the western world... Light, noise and fumes...
