Hi all, I've been meaning to write something for a few weeks, but with how life has been going, I haven't had the chance to write a proper blog yet. So here's a low-effort one? I am still moving, still grieving, and still trying to take care of myself.
In September, SuicideGirls turned 25 years old! For almost 3 decades, SG has redefined beauty, and I am so grateful to be a model here and now working as an SGHQ staff member <3 It's an honor to celebrate all the models here who make SG such a great community with you all. SG has evolved and grown into such a more inclusive, safe modeling community over the years, and I am very grateful to be a big part of keeping it alive today.
My journey in SG started in 2014, you can read my 10 year PINKiversry post here. Since then, I have lived many lives thanks to this community. I have traveled all over the country, made lifelong friendships & found some of my chosen family along the way. Now I find myself admining our Myspace page of all things; 2007 me is healing. If you had told a much younger, lost version of myself that one day she'd be who I am today, I would never have believed you. I wake up every day feeling so blessed to have this job and be in this community.
This may have been short, but my words don't come easy these days. Being able to share what I can with you all brings me peace, even if it's only a little right now. I am very thankful for the beautiful models who share their most natural and powerful form with the world, the amazing members here who bring so much uniqueness and good vibes to the online community, and for all of SGHQ.
I love how big this community is online, all over the world. I love how diverse it is. I love how accepting it is. Here's to another 25 years SG π€
