Woke up this morning. Didn't feel rested. I haven't been sleeping well. Don't know why. Decided to read the paper. News about states no longer wanting science taught in what was left of the schools. Being replaced by "Intelligent Design". Thought nothing of it.
More stories of the on going war. Don't remember when or why it was started. 20,000 gays being kicked out of the military. No explanation. They don't need one. The victories seemed endless. No details however.
The Neo-Cons have been submitting bills inside of bills with "must pass" priorities. No voting. Seems there will be a national I.D. card with all our information in a centralized data base. The new republic says it's to, "Protect us from the evil-doers". The president and congress will also be "correcting" the radical judicial branch. This will make us safe. It is in our best interests.
Also read that the F.C.C. was granted rights to absolute control over all broadcasts. This includes satelite and internet. They will ensure the broadcasts are clean and moral. We will only see what is necessary.
Later in the afternoon went out to catch a flick. It was a horror film. I hadn't noticed this before, but they were all horror films. Except one about the crusades. Movie was boring. Good versus evil. Always makes money.
Went home. Made dinner. Watched T.V. The terror alert was elevated. A non-specific general threat. Always. Nothing on the news. Only celebrities going to prison. I remember when the journalists used to report fact based news. But they dissolved the Fairness Doctrine. Can't help but feel distracted. The president told us to keep shopping after the buildings collapsed.
