It’s difficult to chose objectivly because of course there are characters that I loved so much that it influenced me among all my fav books and movies or series.
I’ve been a very romantic teenager and now I still can easily relate in some characters.
So let’s go. I was careful to not speak here about characters only known in France.
Lisbeth Salander
I read the whole Millennium serie by Stieg Larson (so except the 4th wich is an aberration to me) and saw all the movies too (I only can say that David Fincher’s version turned Lisbeth into a deep emo teenager T-T)
I read it while I was in a depression as I was 16 and this character helped me to become stronger.
Lisbeth is a punk-goth androgynous autistic and nerdy person. She’s very solitary and she can be violent. Also she’s pansexual and deals with some childhood trauma.
Fortunately I don’t have exactly all those specificities but when I was younger I was a she as a he, I’m pan too, I had some violence troubles in appropriated situations (it was never free but I’ve frightened more than one person with my reactions) I can stay in a room playing video games while a party is happening in the same house, I’ve been a bit suspected to be an aspie when i was a child…
So as she’s an indreciby intelligent and badass girl I felt that I was able to be as strong and I really needed that at this time ; I had to prove that no one can step on my shoes.
I even bought the same t shirt The Exploited as her and made a cosplay when I was 18 ! Noomi Rapace is an incredible actress in this trilogy.
Finn
I asked my best friend with who can she relate me and she answered Finn in Adventure Time.
Because I’m an adventurous kid wich loves nature and friends (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
I’m very meaning, emotional, brave and a little stubborn as a child sometimes. And I'm able to do some incredible funny faces and I fuckin like to EAT !

Coppola’s Marie Antoinette
Yes, Marie Antoinette existed for real and I loved to read books about her life when i was younger. So I know that Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette isn’t the same person. She’s more tumblr l o l.
I feel a little bit worldly with responsibilities but at the first opportunity I hide to dream and cry :p
Also she’s a creative and refined person, she’s a seductive sassy bitch aha.
As MA I’m very baroque and disturbed by the conventions… And I’m trying to not be anymore an ignorant white middle class girl
I feel so emotional when I see this moment because I'm a huge fan of Aphex Twin and Avril 14th has been an important track in one of my most importants relationship, and when I went to Versailles some years ago I drew this beautiful structure with columns in the garden of the castle.
I took this pic of me this morning. This movie's aesthetic is still a huge influence for me.. Thanks for reading <3
