Update on my Rash:

So went back to work yest. after being off a week. Tried to explain to them how bad this rash is and how bad it can get. dont think they were getting it at all. Made it thru the day but only because i spent my whole lunch time rushing home to take a bath and back. Was hoping they would...

OMG honey, I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine how miserable this must be making you. I hope your work is willing to work with you on some sort of solution. It seems totally unfair that they want you to take your maternity leave now, when there's another solution (working from home) available.

And yeah, I'd like to know what it is about the bathroom too. It seems, when I want a good cry I go in there. (or my closet of all places.) But, to be fair, my closet is the size of a small bedroom so... wink

Really dumb question: are you using hypoallergenic detergents? Isn't it possible for for you to get new, temporary allergies during pregnancy? I get weird rashes when I sleep in sheets that have been washed in stuff I'm allergic to, but nothing like that ...

I had a rash almost like that. It ended up peeling like a sunburn but it itched so badly I screamed and writhed in pain.
obd:
That looks itchy. I hope it gets better soon.

So I have found my more positive attitude, and decided to deal with the rash and try to enjoy the rest of this pregnancy. Im 7mths now, not too much further to go. And as always Nementh and Breezey have come to the rescue (just like they always did for my husband when he was feeling down). And they have made a really good point...

Stayed home again today, just feeling miserable and alittle down with all of this PUPP stuff. Its just so frustrating that Ive been going this whole pregnancy with no meds (like i want it) and now I have this irritating rash and im stuck taking meds. Plus I really did want to be able to show off my belly this summer, I was all excited...

Aw man, that's the pits! I didn't get PUPP, but I did get really inexplicably itchy near the end. My midwife had me take baking soda baths and oatmeal baths, which helped, but usually only while I was actually in the bath.

She also recommended Sarna Anti-Itch Cream, which has no steroids. I think it helped a little.

Sorry, that's all I know. Have you checked the boards at Mothering.com? Those ladies know everything!

Well I still think your boobies look teh awesome! smile

I think i have PUPP or PUPPP, its an itchy rash that starts on your belly and chest when your pregnant. Usually associated with first preg. esp if 1st preg is a boy. (everything does seem to be leaning towards boy) But the itching is driving me crazy.. I stayed home from work today because i cant stand to have clothes on. Here are some...

I sorry that you're all itchy. I'll rub some cream on ya smile wink

I'm going to send my little present for you tomorrow. Ive been procrastinating.
ta2dmom:
Oh man. I hope they're able to find something to make you feel better. Does cortisone creme help? Or are you allowed to use it? I have no basis of knowledge of this because it never happened to me.
Also, I love your belly. Like a lot!
and the profile pic is hilarious to me and anyone in the 2 groups where it's been brought up. I just had to have someone make it for me lol.

So now that I am actually starting to feel more of the discomforts of pregnancy (swollen ankles and feet, my appendix scar tearing, having to pee constantly, back pains, no sleep, leg cramps, and being tired) I thought I would start thinking about the happier stuff and getting this baby room together finally. So easter me and my husband are spending the day in that...

And thanks for that perspective. I didn't really think of it in that way.

Thanks, and congrats to you too. My wife is technically due early July BUT the Doc says twins are usually early, so she's thinking maybe mid/late June. Do you know if your having a boy or girl? smile
