I had the $5 steak and it was damn good. It was a strange place, though, either the best or worst of the trifecta of steakhouses, strip clubs, and sports bars.

Lubricated tampons! Pffffffft.

I just saw you in Erika's comic! I've been out of town and just now catching up on my RSS feeds. Sucks about the crash, but neat that you've been cartoonified!

After the most awful week involving insurance companies, mall food courts, and getting most of our meals through a car window or delivered in a cardboard box, the husband and I finally had a chance to slow down today.

We went to Wild Oats and picked up some olives, the most fabulous Parmesano Reggiano, some really nice bread, and some organic vegetables. We came home...

ant is pretty great. Sorry to hear about getting rear-ended, and then needlessly being hassled by cops. That blows, rather a lot.

Also, metal how?
obd:
ouch. your car hurt its bum. I'm glad everyone is ok and I'm sorry you had to go through all of that.

My grandpa's okay for now. Still in the hospital, but up and around. He's busy trying to convince his doctors that he knows more than them and that he's a candidate for an experimental heart surgery. Thank you all for your concern.

In other news, if ever you need to put your life in perspective and freak out your husband at the same time, this...

I know it's a bad idea.. but I'm finding it hard to resist.

Those kids look way too happy to be orphans.

That just means you don't do it enough. Also, I was just using that as an example. The real anger in that post was directed toward the yea/yeah thing.

My W-2s are all in and I made over $10k less than I did the year before.

Awesome.

Also, it's supposed to snow today, so I've decided to stay inside, refuse to wear pants, and make cinnamon rolls in protest.

Edit: MisterSatan wants me to tell you that I had to put on pants to go to the store in the freezing rain and buy...

But the cost of living in Crapcouver is roughly a bajillionty dollars less than southern California!
prockgirlscout:
We made a shitload of money and it doesn't feel like it at all.

I love cinnamon rolls. I think I'm going to make gingerbread cake/cookies today. I bought like 3 boxes of mix for Christmas time (because I was too lazy to make it from scratch) and never found the time to make it. whatever

I'm starting to take the weather here personally.

I told my sister that the high would be 42 (the high has been 42 for weeks now, it doesn't change, except for the one day when the high was 37) on the day she gets here and she told me that that's not a real temperature.

I miss the sun. frown frown merf
