I told my sister that the high would be 42 (the high has been 42 for weeks now, it doesn't change, except for the one day when the high was 37) on the day she gets here and she told me that that's not a real temperature.

I would just like to say that your recipe in the Kitchen group for Chocolate Stout Cupcakes was magical. I made them last night for a german themed party I went to.

I think for Turkey day I'm going to have to take my roomie to his Uncles' place since he has no car. But I can cure your hankering for sausage and wild rice dressing. The recipe isn't exactly classy, but it works well. Also, it is very advisable to limit The Satans' intake of it as its' gaseous after-effects have been known to ruin holidays. Seriously.
Wild Rice Dressing
1 lb sausage (I use Jimmy Dean sage)
1 package Uncle Ben's original wild rice mix
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup green peppers, chopped
1 cup onions, chopped
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup chicken broth (more or less, for moisture)
a dozen slices dried bread, torn up
Brown the sausage and drain well. Add the chopped veggies and uncle ben's rice and seasonings and prepare per the package. I usually reduce the water it calls for as the veggies add a lot. Once it's all done and looks like rice with veggies and meat chunks add the rest of the stuff and mix well. Add more broth if it needs moistened, more bread if it's soupy. You know how it should look. Stick it in a greased dish and bake it at 375 uncovered until done. It usually takes about 45 minutes or so.
Low sodium products work well in this by the way if Randy is still watching his intake.

I love cinnamon rolls. I think I'm going to make gingerbread cake/cookies today. I bought like 3 boxes of mix for Christmas time (because I was too lazy to make it from scratch) and never found the time to make it.
