One of the worst feelings in the world is waking up from a nice, peaceful sleep, wandering into the bathroom looking forward to a hot shower and finding a giant spider in the bathtub.

Because then you're faced with a conundrum. Do you wash that sucker down the drain and risk coming back in your next life as a slug or a tax collector, or...

Pffft - kill the damned bug, it's just how things work. Besides, when a spider takes one of those "crawling around in drains" jobs, it gets the high end hazard pay for a reason. There's a serious risk of drowning, whether it be at the hands of some kind of human with a faucet or just the normal mechanics of how a drain or a faucet works.

Besides, there's no way to account for the hundreds or possibly even thousands of insects you accidentally murder when you use the shower (or any other faucet) any other day. You only see the ones that pop out of the drain...

I never have that problem Then again, if the tub is full of anything, it was termites a month ago and those have no redeeming use.

There's just too much going on. I need to sleep for about three days and get over this cold and then I'll be okay again. I don't think that's going to happen, though.

Dinner and drinks last night. JohnnyHomicide was talking to me in the car about... whores, I think, but I couldn't keep my eyes open and somehow thought he was talking about the...

Random Thoughts:

I'm flying out of OC tomorrow and into Sacramento for my grandma's 80th birthday, with a two hour layover in San Francisco, because I booked on Travelocity, instead of checking with Southwest, which flies there directly. I suck.

I made her little dachshund cookies, though. My grandparents are weiner dog people.

I'm going to start describing more things as "lovely, dark and deep."...

That is such a great movie and I love that scene too.

Hope you have a great time visiting your grandma and congratulations to you and MisterSatan on your anniversary. I like seeing things work out for SG couples. It is pretty cool. smile

Today was a really good day for the United States Postal Service. I got home today and waiting in my mailbox were:

The necklace that I bought on Ebay for prom.

My "Planned Parenthood Member Card".

And the first season of Knight Rider on DVD.
