Afternoons spent in the dazzling sun and strange coldness of my island. Nights of little sleep and too many bottles of beer. A job that turns me into a fluid robot. A phone call from a boy with a deeply electric touch, discovered months ago but left to linger. Letters stamped and mailed.
My throat hurts. If I get sick for the first time in what seems like forever, I'll be ever so frustrated. I've managed to stay relatively healthy, as far as colds & flu go, all year. (Keeping my gosh darn brain stable is another manner altogether. Spastic, say what?) I've got stuff to do! A world to conquer! Photographs to take! Books to read! Boys to kiss! Sleepovers to have! Love to fall into, over, and around!
My roommate is playing video games, and I can hear them shaking like thunder through the wall. It's mostly amusing, but it also makes me think there's a storm going on outside. It's windy enough to blow Victoria clean off the map, here.
Spent the afternoon after work today downtown with crushboy. Visited a friend at her work, bought biscuit-type things, and generally shot the shit. You know when you accidentally brush against someone's skin and it lights you up inside? Yeah. That. My goodness.
Went to the One Man Star Wars show tonight. It was surprisingly awesome! Better than the reproduction of the actual movies themselves was his subtle- and not-so subtle- commentary. 'Twas a fine time, a fine time indeed.
I really like the new White Stripes album. Just in case you were, y'know, wondering. (It's okay if you weren't. I still like you.)
My back could use a massage. You know where to find me.

Oh well, there was a moment, I saw a man who looked like he ought to be in a David Lynch film. And a dog that squeaked. I listened to a radio play. I walked by the park but failed to go look at the giant chair, I'm saving that.
I'm wondering whether to drink the bottle that says "Drink me". Off with her head!
