Today was my day off from both work and school, so I went downtown with A. and looked at fancy china cookware and expensive clothes. We breathed in the heavy city air- a brief respite from the rain here only seems to thicken up the atmosphere for the next time it pours- and tried on shoes for a good hour.

The Maritimes have been on my mind a lot lately. I was talking about it with F. earlier today, and I kind of miss the way that Prince Edward Island felt like home to me for the three or four days that I was there. It felt so free and fresh and honest, somehow. I would like to coat myself from head to toe in red sand and make love in and to the Atlantic ocean.

Tonight is all about video games, as I finally went over to visit J., and he lent me his Nintendo 64. Yes, I most certainly am still dynamite at MarioKart. Can anyone take me down? Doubtful, my friends, doubtful indeed. It's the one game I've got mad skills at.
