Bit of wisdom worth remembering.

I'm of the mind that you can't blame people for being what they are, as long as they're not hurting anyone. If someone is intellectually limited, they probably don't have much choice about it. Same thing with ignorance...if people are born into cultures or families where they are indoctrinated and sheltered from life, you can't fault them completely for being racist or sexist or what-have-you. It's still shitty, and it's annoying to deal with, but you have two choices: be a dick about it and hate the person and be cruel to them, or realize that we're all different and that you're lucky to be a little smarter, and just try to be patient.
Easier said than done, but that's how I try to go about it.
