read Louis Riel. Great book. The art is sparse but amazing in the way it helps convey and run though the story. If you into history, or like historical stories, pick it up.

Last night there was a round table discussion with designers Felix Beltran and...shit forgot thier names but they were some "badasses"
Well I came away pretty disapointed. It was just fucking jibber-jabber! It was shit everyone knows ( or at least should know) about design. It was like saying "a pencil can be used to writing" for an hour.
In retrospect, when I compare it to say, my painting class, there is a definte change of gears in what matters are spoken, at least in aesthetics, between designers and painters.
I'm happy I wlk that line though, I'm glad I didn't go gung ho into one or the other...

Have you ever been just so disappointed when somebody just doesn't live up to there, I guess, "rep"?

The birds are nice.
It's all hard work from the moment you establish yourself as quality. Eek. I've been there a few times to be able to taste it -- although not in a "real" world sense, sadly -- but just enough to know how crushing it can be to NOT live up to those moments.
... careful there, I think that statement applies to most of us.
