The Libidolessness of my wife...
I've mentioned how my wife has the libido of a corpse. When I met her, she was a fairly open-minded person and really great fun. As she was / is quite religious, she wasn't into "sex before marriage", but there was quite a bit of exploring and sexual fun, masturbating each other, virtually anything went except for full-on penetration. It was GREAT and I couldn't wait for the day we were finally married!
So then we got married, and did she change... Instantly! Suddenly sex was not on the agenda and even in our first year of marriage up to 6 weeks would go by without any booty action. It left me feeling any kind of emotion you can imagine - frustration, sadness, bewilderment, anger, even hate. But I had made a promise when we got married, and even after 8 years, I still try to keep to that promise.
The frustration was of course not very healthy for our relationship, as we found ourselves over time drifting further and further apart. We in fact ended up being housemates, not a couple. And every attempt I made to work it out seemed to faal on deaf ears. Then the kids came along. And I'm VERY happy to have my two kids, but I can't help but to wonder how we got to the point of even trying to conceive.
With kids the priorities shift quite a bit, something that REALLY wasn't good for our relationship. And over the next few years we drew even further apart. But I just felt I didn't want to give up, but this year FINALLY realised that we're now really very close to the rocks and better steer clear FAST or we hit those rocks.
So I gave my wife an ultimatum. I told her how unhappy I am and how I want out if she doesn't want in. Amazingly it seemed to come as quite a surprise to her, which left me almost resenting her. I mean how come over an 8 year period of pleading, begging, shouting and screaming could she be so ignorant about our crisis!?
But then I started thinking that maybe she has such a low libido that these issues really just don't register. That's when I decided that I have to try and wake up the inner woman in her and see if there is something that might tickle her fancy and get her going.
So I'm pleading to all the girls of SG-land to please give me some feedback. What can I do to rescue our relationship? What can I do to arouse her? Toys? Porn? HELP!!! The last thing I want is to one day add a post that it's over - would much rather start telling you guys about the great progress!!!
