So does anyone else think the SG Hopeful shots have been better than some of the actual SG of the day sets?

In the past week, I thought April and Paige's sets were the best.

Now let's get things straight, I'm not trying to down any of the SG. It just seems like many of rejected sets aren't much different than the ones that are accepted.

Just sticking up for the Hopefuls out there.

I'd like to thank the FX Network for officially ruining my social life (however little of it there is).

With Nip/Tuck, The Shield and now Rescue Me, I have very few reasons to leave the house. Rescue Me has to be the best new show on TV. I've been a Leary fan for a decade now and his work gets better and better. Boy do I have to find my taped copies of The Job.

And F the FX Network for making me fall head over heels for the girl who hosts DVD on TV.

So kiddies...with apologies to Hank Williams Jr...are you ready for some kickball?! ARRR!!!

Update:

Pirates rally, but can't kick Ninjas

Roslyn, PA- "Can you believe it?" That's the phrase uttered countless times by the voice of the Phillies Harry Kallas. The same must have been said by players on the Pirates last night as they fell to the Ninjas, 13 to 11.

The contest was myried in controversy from the get-go as for the first time, co-captains were used to pick teams.

"This is some fucked up shit right here," Pirates co-captain Lucas Murray said. "We got a break when Kor ended up being available in the third round. He brings veteran experience to us, but it's last time Logan picks teams."

About the only thing that went right for the Pirates all night was the coin toss. They elected to field first and quickly found themselves down 2 runs.

The Pirates swashbuckled their way back and swaped leads with the Ninjas several times.

Several key free agent signings helped the Ninjas throughout the game. Strong kicking by the newly acquired Luffy drove in several runs. His fielding also had the Pirates shaking their heads.

"What can I say, the man's a machine," Murray said.

Pirate fans thought they caught a break when first baseman Gadget suffered a wasp sting. However, the resilient fielder stayed in the game.

With the sun setting quickly and down 6 runs, the Pirates put on a late inning rally, but a pop fly with two men on base was easily shagged by a Ninja infielder.

Murray, who went 6 for 7 in an 17-3 drubbing in game one, was only held to two runs tonight.

"My damn pants were just too tight," Murray said. "Last game I kept hitting them at Jess and catching good bounces. I can't hit them like that when he's (Luffy) out there."
