Ugh. I'm trying to rearrange my apartment to make room for an actual workspace so I can get started on some projects I've been putting off. alas, there's just no space in here!
Is it just me, or does everyone in Chicago have a bigger, nicer, warmer place than mine?

Just wanted to mention that, yes, I did see the Tikwer film Heaven and liked it. It seemed to be one of the *fastest* films I've seen lately...I believe it was 1 1/2 hours but seemed like much less. Of course, Run Lola Run was, what, about 75 minutes?

The last date I went on....the conversation completely died about a half hour in, we just ran out of stuff to say. It was godawful. Glad your's wasn't like that.

As for Kafka....I still like The Metamorphosis even though class I have taken have kinda ruined it for me. The other one that I like is A Hunger Artist.

Good blaxploitation....."Black Belt Jones", check it out, starring Jim Kelly best known for his part in Enter the Dragon. I know who Rudy Ray More is, but I have never seen any of his movies.

So, are you going to fill the whole up top left by Isabelle? It's a shame she left. It sucks that all the girls left, we should be up to about 106 or 107 about now, but alas still stuck at 99. I changed my favorites recently and went with the old-school theme.

as far as the burlesque show, i haven't been to one, but i've been to other shows put on by the same basic group that were really good. i'd definitely be going to Lavender if i was going to be in town that night.

when i quit smoking, i went and quit coffee too. figured i might as well ditch as many vices as i could (but really, is coffee a vice?) that was before i started drinking. now i need to ditch that one too, but thats harder than quiting cigs because i did not get any measurable emotional refief from smoking(it was just so cool looking)
now drinking...wooo-weee, different story. but its bad, it really is. maybe someday

I think the new PoA movie would have been good if the old ones didn't exist. In comparison, the new one is crap, I fucking hated it. Maybe it is just because I am such a big fan of the old ones, especially the first. I just pray that they don't start doing remakes of Beneath, Escape from, Conquest of and Battle for. With the ending they had in the new one, they probably will have a sequel.
