I'm awake! And refreshed.
I never noticed before, but it's fun to oversleep. It's kinda like sleep deprivation in that it leads to fun hallucinations (auditory ones in my case, apparently) as well as nice dreams.
Among other things, I dreamt that I had two pet chickens, one black and one white. They actually looked more like geese, but somehow they were chickens nonetheless. Eventually,...

My sleep is fuct. I went to sleep immediately after coming home from work today, and now I can't fall asleep at all. Which is doubly crazy because I'm taking painkillers and drinking port, so I should be knocked out. Instead, I'm just loopy!
Other than that, I'm listening to My Bloody Valentine on repeat. I can't get Isn't Anything to play on my computer...

maybe it's not haunted, it's just your crazy neighbor playing tricks in retaliation for you stealing her mail

I think it's kind of sad that My Bloody Valentine could never follow up "Loveless". I've heard rumors that they've recorded full albums, and then Kevin Shields just erased the master tapes because it didn't sound right to him. At this point, I don't think it's going to happen (but it might be funny to start a bet on who's gonna release a new album first: MBV or Guns n' Roses) , but at least they left behind such a perfect album.

Scratch that.
Looks like I'll be in Chicago this weekend after all.

I took the wrong train, and ended up at the airport late. Then, I stood in the wrong line for half an hour, listening to the final boarding call for my plane. Finally I got to the counter, and the lady told me that I could fly standby to Atlanta tonight,...

That's 2003 for you.

I'm envisioning a chorus line of SG bird-flippers at the Rock and Bowl on the 19th.

I've posted a few pictures of the book that I've been working on for the last couple of days. It turned out well, with a couple of minor imperfections that I should be able to avoid next time around.
I'm leaving in the morning for Savannah, GA. I'll be back on Tuesday, and I probably won't be online in the meantime. I'm not quite sure...

The book is completed. Or rather, it will be once the glue dries. Looks like it'll turn out fairly well.
I went to the yeah yeah yeahs tonight with oak, dollface, and pilar. The show was good, although I can't say I think they deserve whatever hype it is they're getting.
The Greenhornes were one of the openers, and they were good too.
Tomorrow I...

Damn it.
I have a new crush. I've been fighting it off, but I've failed.
So you can look forward to the journal in a week or so when I post that my crush has made it obvious that she has exactly no interest in me...
In the meantime, I got drunk at work today, completely sanctined by the man. Which is always nice. Of...

Yet another evening (3rd time this week!) spent sleeping, while there are much more important things I need to be doing.
I got my ticket to Georgia today, to go visit my friend. It's costing me an obscene amount of money, which I do not have.
I have to finish this book by the time I go, and at the rate I'm going, that is...

I'm folding paper!
Actually, I'm folding and tearing paper. More to the point, I'm starting a bookmaking project that my lazy ass has been putting off for 2 or 3 months. It's about damn time.
Tearing the paper the way I have been has caused it to fold up in a strange way, which looks somewhat vaginal to me. The word itself makes some men...

Once again, my day yesterday was marked by a disturbing amount of sleep. I fell asleep around 8:30, and slept until about 3:30 in the morning. I suppose I should've gotten up then, and accomplished what I was planning to do yesterday, but I just stayed in bed until I had to get up for work.
I'm beginning to be a bit concerned. I have...

Yay for Dub Narcotic Sound System!
They put on a great show tonight, although not quite as good as the one I saw a few years ago in Madison. About half way through their set, I was marveling at Calvin Johnson's unique stage presence, so cool, yet completely and utterly dorky. Then Heather got out from behind her drum kit, sang a few songs, shook...
