Ugh! I just finished grilling 100 bratwurst for one of our regular "lunch on the lawn" events here at the Vet School. My eyes are soooooooo burny right now from all the smoke and grease. But the brats were yummy! This was one of the smaller events (100 brats, 300 burgers, 3 dozen veggie-burgers). Some of them are twice that size. One of the great... Read More
No doubt! I've had Thunder since he was 2 1/2 and he's nearly 12 now.. or maybe he IS 12... I've lost track of time! Either way, hes going to be the death of me, the big galoot.
That's an amazing story about the screech owl. I probably wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it either. That's amazing that it was smart enough to stay away from moving parts in that engine. it makes me wonder if he was standing there going "Hmm, that's a might bit warm on my feet!" and start dancing around during the drive. Hehe. Sorry, I have a bad habit of putting words into animals mouths but I don't know many animal people that don't .
Thank you. I am happy with our conclusion. He gave me everything and I'm still on the checking and savings account for emergencies. We're already planning for me to come back in a few weeks to help him move out of this place.
I've gotten absolutely buried with pictures to edit lately. 2 sets of senior pictures, 14 family portraits, one SG set shot and another shooting on Saturday, about to get the order from a wedding I shot a while back (will be huge, I'm sure!), and probably some more aerial photography. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!
So.. I almost hate to say this, but.... I've... Read More

yeah, this whole thing sucks but what am i gonna do? just keep at it... i know he won't change unless it's for the worse so there isn't much motivation to stay after i know i'm not putting myself out or under more hardship and if things do go that way, i'll have more money than i have now while living with the man. i will finally be able to replace my $750 car (i've had it for a year and a half and i'm really hard on older cars) and i know my parents will be more than willing to babysit when i need "a day out"
Well, last night my son and I and one of his buddies went to the Tool concert in Kansas City. Wow!!! They put on a totally awesome show. And their opening band is Isis -- worth the trip just for that, too! If you can see this show, don't miss it. Great music, great lighting effects, great everything. Traffic was a bitch (we also had... Read More

We're back from Mexico, and I'm almost after the Montezuma's Revenge (which thankfully didn't really hit until we got home!). Lots to talk about, I'm sure, but instead I'm gonna make this an all picture entry. See if it will let me actually post this many pictures -- some of my favoirtes from the Bikini Jam.
I.....LOVE......the spinal tap picture. I love it so much, in fact, that I'd love to print it off (with your permission) and give it to my neurologist who always jokes with me about my back tattoos being off center. I think he'd have tremendous appreciation for that picture.
Thanks for making me smile and I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
Barely a week until Mexico! Starting to get excited about the trip. The tanning is going better now, too -- no more red-ass! LOL I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to not going to work for about a week and a half! Like whoa -- I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to face going back. Might have to call in sick with an eye problem.... Well, in less than three weeks we'll be down in sunny Mexico at the Ujena Bikini Jam. I sure hope it's cooler there! Once again we're pushing 100 (38 for you metric types). At least I seem to be getting away with wearing shorts to work when it gets this hot. One of the advantages to sitting in an office all by yourself most... Read More
Thank you, and your lovely wife.
In times like these you see who your true friends are.
I'm just trying to make it day by day. I believe I can overcome.
At least I was already in therapy so she stepped me up to thrice weekly.
The retreat should be a good step for me.
As to the photo of the model here, I think she's having sexual feelings.
Why does most everyone think sore neck?
I had a great trip to Mississippi -- got to shoot with TEN models (all aged 13-17) while I was down there, including a couple I've been wanting to work with for a couple years now. Nothing SGish (obviously!!) -- just nice pics of beautiful teens (mostly girls, but a couple guys, too). Unfortunately, I had to... Read More
Way overdue for an update, but things have been more than a little crazy. Last weekend was "Art in the Park" which took $160 in application and booth fees, countless hours of preparation, 4 hours of setup and teardown and 14 hours of sitting in the sun. For all of that work I got about $430. Pretty sucky, really. And one $370 sale away from... Read More
dude..you have to...it's a moral imperative. how can you have a tuba lying around the house and NOT use it?! that's just crazy! dang - clients would have to pay me NOT to have it in their images.
"oh! you want that without the tuba? that's an extra $25"
