Well, I haven't edited this in a long time.
How's about this: My favorite essay, an article by Jonathan Rauch from the Atlantic. "Caring for your Introvert."

Wow, I haven't read anything that defined me as a person in such simple terms since I took a personality test in high school.

Hmmm... that reminds me...I've got an office party invite to decline. There's nothing I hate more than small talk wink

MONASTRELL is a cool dude. Thanks for the comment. It's fun to find something worth getting worked up about. Link to my original mini-rant.

I also liked what you said on the CE boards. I have an incredible amount of respect for soldiers, and although I often disagree with how our government chooses to employ them, the truck that I have with our foreign policy in no way diminishes the esteem I hold for the individuals who put their lives on the line in the field.

Based on your comments, you seem to have an admirable view of what you're fighting for. What puzzles me, though, is what exactly are people like your sargeant fighting for? (I know this sounds mildly confrontational, but it's an honest question: I know the type, I just really don't understand what they're thinking.)

On an unrelated note, there's nothing wrong with eating cheddar cheese!

And on another unrelated note, what is "Too busy with music to really appreciate art" supposed to mean? Do you not think music is art? Or are you being funny? (I guess, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard John P. Sousa referred to as an "artist," but still...)

Just in case nobody cares, we're working on getting a gig in San Francisco in two weeks, probably on the 22nd. Hopefully a place called the Bohemian. If not, we'll just jam on a streetcorner or something. More info shortly.
