4th of July ritual:
wash the truck and fill the tank
throw Dave Alvin in the cd player
stick a cold Lone Star between my thighs
put the other 5 in a cooler
drive to Llano
eat BBQ at Cooper's until satiated
tool around on back roads until it's too hot to think
drive home and take a nap.

Contemplating the rest of the day....... at some point I've got to go pick tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers. My bean vines and my watermelon vine didn't get water while I was away, and are beyond hope. My quest to grow a big fucking watermelon continues.

Best thing of the day: My sweet kitty cat, Miss Eartha, turned 16 today! I'm taking her to driver's ed soon.
