I started walking for exercise again on May 1, and while I can't see any difference I can feel a difference. A little more self confidence is a beautiful thing, and the 30 minutes on the treadmill is pure self absorption/introspection.
Which means I can go to my therapist with an agenda of what I want to work on.

i too am trying to lose weight, but i am starting out with really small babysteps. i need to having a feeling of accomplishment.
seeing as, for awhile, it won't be in noticeable weight loss, i am relying on small goals.
for instance, first i am working on drinking more water.
i am committing myself to 20 ounces a day for now, then i want to get up to the recommended 8 glasses a day.
sounds silly but, when i drink that 20 ounce bottle by the end of the day, i feel like i have done something good for my body.
I noticed your post about jeans on the PSW board, and I don't think anybody responded, so I'm posting here in case you don't see it. I get almost all my jeans from Lane Bryant--they're surprisingly good, actually. You might try jeans that stretch--I thought I'd hate them, but they're great. I also get jeans from Torrid every now and then.
