It all depends on how you view exes, i guess. My GF and I both talk and hang out with our exes. We both figure there was a reason why we dated them, and there is also a reason why we aren't dating them anymore. You also have to look at how long has it been since these two dated. If it is *really* recent then there may be some residual stuff that is finishing up, but if it has been a while and they didn't have a *horrible* relationship, then it sounds perfectly normal to me. I think TV and movies put too much of an emphasis on not being able to talk to people you have previously dated. hope that helps.
