It's tough to spend significant amounts of money on things you aren't very enthusiastic about.
It's hard to spend $350 for a flight to Calgary when you aren't too excited to go there for Christmas. Again. I don't really care much for Christmas anyway and I always end up being really bored when I'm there. These people don't do anything and Calgary as a whole is, well, dull. Besides, aren't I a little old to be going "home" for Christmas each and every year? And if that weren't enough, I'm the one who can least afford to travel. Mom says it's alright if I don't want to come, but that's bullshit. Of course she'll be annoyed if I don't show for absolutely no reason. I'd rather fly south and sit on a beach and read and forget about Christmas, but that would cost even more money that I literally don't have.
