It's really good. Mal is dreamy smile

Anyway, if you want to go play pool or similar sometime, find me!
elizagirl:

isn't it GOOD?

and now, once you've watched the rest of 'em, you can understand how mad I was that in the movie, Mal STILL doesn't kiss Inara.

Sheesh.

Men are dumb.

I watched Touching the Void recently. Oddly enough, it's made me regret somewhat that I never seriously got into climbing.

Had another driving lesson the other day. I nailed the parallel parking on my third ever attempt. In fact, I did all the skills they have you do on the test except one (backing into a stall) and apparently, I did them quite well. It's...

Ha! I prefer your definition. I've never been overly fond of the idea that an intellectual must segregate themself in an ivory tower that has no phallic overtones, far appart from human interaction.

My perfect household would consist of a selection of the intellectuals who have moved beyond sexual stereotypes, spending half their time debating the modern political significance of the prevelance of latin derived words in everyday language, and how this relates to hypothetical gender roles, and the other half of the time contentedly bonking each other whilst screaming about quadratic formulae.

Unfortunately, one can rarely spout mathematics with elegance, so I fear my dream may never be.

Missy just sent me a highly personalized email letting me know about the DVD, which was helpful because I was entirely unaware that there was a DVD available.

omg that sounds GOURMET!
*envious!*

Those little tasks aren't so bad if people ask nicely. I don't mind doing stuff but people just sort of expect you to run around for them.... Blah!

I just watched Crash. Excellent filmmaking. Why can't we get more like this? Why must 95% of movies be schlop?

Back in class tomorrow. Four months ago I didn't think I'd be going back, at least not this soon, but here goes nothing.

Mmmmmm, Noodle Box!

Had my first driving lesson today, and apparantly, I'm a natural at this driving business. My father lives for things with engines in them, so perhaps it's genetic.

I got stuck behind a damned student driver on Friday and thought of you as I passed them illegally through on-coming traffic and at high speed.

You should've seen me when I was drunk and driving.
miyu:
Most days I am ok in my skin. I just have horrible things happen in the relationship dept. After awhile you wonder if it's you. And really, on some level it is me because I allow myself to walk into this situation and when I get there, I either don't know what to do or I'm deeply saddened. Saddened not because I get stiffed but because of the horrible way people act and treat me. I'm always shocked at how rotten people can be. I just get very disheartened.

"How many bar fights have you been in?" he asks me.

And then did you bop him in the nose?
friedbanana105:
Like I said, it doesn't hurt to know who you've got backing you up... tongue

Pardon me for hoping some drunk would start a fight and raise the excitement levels... biggrin

Ya me too although I've read a couple.
The guys who've written it are MDs but also have ADD too. They give both sides which is super cool. They explain things in a way that someone without ADD just couldn't understand.

I just finished Tom Robbins' Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates, and Chuck Palahniuk popped into my mind at the end, but not in a good way. Without going into specifics, Fierce Invalids strikes me as a Fight Club for people on the right-hand side of the bell curve.

Does that make me sound elitist? I sure hope so.

Summertime in Victoria: more pretty girls than you can shake a stick at!*smile

*troglodyte does not condone nor endorse shaking sticks at girls.

After taking the bus back into town after work, I wandered around downtown looking for something to eat. I stumbled upon the Latin-Carribean Festival in Market Square. There were all these Brazillians pounding on drums whilst everybody danced. It made me...
