Well, since you asked.
The Pixies were great. I saw them last friday night at Brixton Academy in London.
They played a crowd pleasing set mostly from the first three records + a few others.
I have never seen a crowd go that nuts. 5000 people jumping up and down for most of the show. Sweaty and deafening.
I wouldn't have been there if my friend (same guy with the swervedriver connections) wasn't working for them as all 4 nights sold out in about ten minutes.
Don't mean to blow my own trumpet or anything, but I was on the Pixies guest list! I was drinking in the hotel bar with the band and crew and to top it all off, Dave Lovering (the drummer) showed me some pretty mind blowing card tricks.
He's been a magician for the past three years.
All in all, a night I will never forget.
