In my twenties, I avoided family visits like the plague. I think alot of people do of that age. I wanted to assert who I was, figure it out on my own. Also I was usually high alot and that is not condusive to happy visits with straight edged family. Now that I have maried and reproduced, family seems to be all over us like...

mmmm I'm making souvlaki for supper tonight. Its warm enought to bbq, snow melted off the deck, thats all it takes really. Here in London as soon as the snow melts they open patios at the bars. We're all hearty Canadians, we'll drink anywhere. God I miss beer. I haven't drank in over three years now.

What I wouldn't give to be in Ontario right now. I can't think of anywhere else that I can have fun and drink beer happily.

Ah, I love the coming warm weather. I've grown to hate winter with a passion (used to love it). But here it's cold one day and warm the next. It's hell on my allergies. Spring is usually pretty consistent, so I'll like that.
Thanks for adding me as a friend

ok so it's Valentines Day. I don't really subscribe to the notion that one ONE day your loved ones HAVE to get you something to express their love for you...that being said, I really hope my hubby remembers. Not for some cheesy card or even flowers but maybe just to acknowledge that it is today and he has thought about it in some small way....

Its odd to see people that I used to hang with a couple of years ago, now. I still live in the same city that I did before when I was very active on the scene downtown. Now a days I am mother to two boys and another tyke on the way, all under three so my life is very different from then. Sometimes they...

I'm getting into that weird middle-of-winter candian funk. Not outside enough, feeling blah. I used to like Fridays, you know..thinking of weekend plans. Knowing that I'm probably not gonna do anything makes Fridays semm, well, like a wednesday. hibernating

Thanks for all the nice comments about my getting a good check up finally at the Doc's. I really haven't gotten the all clear yet from cervical cancer but for right now I'm good. The last few years I've learned that Right Now is all I can worry about really. and right now is ok.

I actually do plan on going to Canada.....watch out!
well finally some good news. Two years ago I had cervical cancer and had surgery to rid myself of it. I decided then to finish making my family in case I lost the chance if the surgery didn't work. It seemed to. In the last summer I had tests done (every few months to check it) and found something "abnormal". It of course freaked me...

I change my mind daily on what I should get to fill in the spaces, this morning I was thinking Japanese but I really want to do alot of large japenese on my legs...

tell me about it...if it's one thing it's another. i feel like my life is in organized chaos right now!
Long ago, when I was a teen and thrown outta my house I joined the army for lack of a better option. I stayed three years, I liked it and was good at it. I learned this phrase "Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome..." I went on from there throughout my twenties with reckless and wild abandon. I was into all sorts of things, mainly having fun....

Ah old age, maturity and responsibility
I'm still wondering when its going to kick in fully for me
I'd say you have done things the right way, after all how sad do those 40 & 50 year old 'teenagers' look, especially at clubs n gigs etc
You cant stay doing the same shit forever, just think there may actually be something just around the corner thats 1000 times better than the fun you had in the wild days, you just aint quite there yet

What now? Is right. I always expected that once you hit a certain "adult" age (whatever that might be) you would be, look, and feel grown up. Wrong. I wonder everyday when I'm going to feel like an adult.
P.S. Your picture is so cute, you should post some more!

So I had a weird weekend. It was very adult in a way. Not in a xxx aduly way though haha..those weekends are over. I decided to see someone that I had a falling out with almost two years ago. I've avoided this person (well couple really) for a long time, even though I really missed them because...well , I was embarassed by messy behaviour...

i know how that can be...i hate burnt bridges and bad sentiments...i usually end up reaching out to people, unless its very clear that i shouldnt.
Family is better at guilt trips, I guess. Of course, I'm guilty as well.
And the parents probably still want to treat you like you're a child. I know I still have that problem. I'll always be their baby boy, even when I'm 70. Oh well, I guess everybody goes through this.
