I think NextTuesday is right. If you're excited for him, some of that can't help, but rub off onto him. You know, my mom is a teacher, and she deals with parents all the time...ones she likes, doesn't like etc, but that NEVER has a bearing on how she treats their children. I imagine any GOOD teacher would be the same way. I'm sure as soon as she gets to know you and your son, tattoos and piercings won't matter. It's about personality and how you are with your son, which sounds absolutely amazing.
Don't worry about the housework. Have fun!!!! It sounds like you deserve it. That stuff will always be there, and need done, so you might as well enjoy yourself when you have the chance.
