Colours . . . man that's hard to say . Lots of times those things are kind of pastely looking . Pinks & light blues & oranges with brighter stronger background colours in the flowers and stuff .

The door , I had strips of wood and had to nail them to the bottom of the door and then trim them with a jig saw and sand them to fit .

It took forever !

I haven't heard from bird since she moved back to the US. I miss her.

My little guy isn't old enough for school yet, but I can imagine I would feel EXACTLY like you're feeling!
I think NextTuesday is right. If you're excited for him, some of that can't help, but rub off onto him. You know, my mom is a teacher, and she deals with parents all the time...ones she likes, doesn't like etc, but that NEVER has a bearing on how she treats their children. I imagine any GOOD teacher would be the same way. I'm sure as soon as she gets to know you and your son, tattoos and piercings won't matter. It's about personality and how you are with your son, which sounds absolutely amazing.
Don't worry about the housework. Have fun!!!! It sounds like you deserve it. That stuff will always be there, and need done, so you might as well enjoy yourself when you have the chance.
