alleykit recently mentioned that one of the good things about getting older is that you can actually keep plants alive. I thought of that this morning as I wandered my apartment and watered my plants. Since giving up drugs and such, and settling down a bit, my plants are actually living, some are thriving!

My pale purple chrysanthemum just bloomed for the first time since my last birthday: one beautiful flower with a tinge of japanese. It's funny, it had a whole section of droopiness which I had propped up. When surlyclown came to visit, I got distracted and knocked it over, breaking off the dead bit. Ever since then, it's been happy, and now this bloom! I can't help thinking of it as symbolic.

Speaking of gardening, I dreamt of Su and his boy last night. For some reason gumbercules had all these arcane brewing essences. I was admiring all the accoutrements. I didn't actually get to taste any beer or wine, but it looked really good. We all lived in this giant oak treehouse, with many twisty passages. Su showed me around. And at one point I was battling some giant void demon guy. Then I woke up. I think the last part was my videogame seeping in. *grin*
