How spoiled am I? My mom is coming over tomorrow to look at Dells with me. She's buying my sister a notebook for grad school, and wants to help me get another desktop. We'll likely go halfers on it, which means NO FINANCING!
I look around my apartment, and all the things I really like or use, my mom has bought for me as gifts.
My eyeball is nice and bloodylooking now from that weird capillary thing of the other day. Somebody asked for a picture. Here is part of the mess, two days later:
I spent $20 I don't have buying a scarf this lady at work makes. It's bright orange and the very thought of it makes me happy. Voila:
S leaves for Europe for 5 weeks tomorrow. I'm not talking to T anymore, due in part to him being an utter asshole about what he terms my "virtual friends." Given that S & T are basically the only two friends I keep in touch with, I'm going to be a lonely pathetic squirrel. I'm looking forward to my sister coming to stay with me on the 19th though.

When you wrote that in my journal, I was spending my last full day of a week's vacation in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. I'd just returned from a more remote beach where I swam for 1 1/2 hours, took a boat ride through a lagoon while watching pelicans dive bomb for food, and ate a garlic-encrusted red snapper for lunch. A great time. I missed the snow that got dumped on Denver a couple days previously, while basking in the sunshine and enjoying the beach. (OK, I didn't enjoy the bites from the sand fleas, AKA the no-see-ums, the punkies. Otherwise I watched a glorious sunset or six.)
Back home, it's warming up, but the windows are still getting frosty in the mornings.
Off at the end of the month to Portland--not New York City. (Something got lost in translation on that one.)
These days, I like buying clothes that make me happy, too!
