Weird Embarrassing Moment #5876
Ok, those who know me well, know that I'm neurotic-ish hypochondriac-ish sorta. Today I was a big dork in that vein.
I ordered pea soup from this diner next door to my work. I pick it up in this styrofoam container. I eat said soup. I notice said soup has been heated by the not-so-bright-but-cute diner counter chick in the styrofoam container. The styrofoam is all melted. I feel ill. I decide that melted styrofoam is not that good for me and go to the bathroom to throw it up.
Unfortunately, I have never made myself throw up before. It is a wrenching process, which I only half-manage.
Ten minutes later I walk out of the stall and look at myself. I'm a mess: the process of forcing myself to vomit has caused capillaries and bloodvessels around and in my eyes to burst. I look like a raccoon. This freaks me out completely, and I start worrying that I've had an aneurysm or something (I did mention I was a hypochondriac, right?) I call this health line, the nurse interviews me and tells me what to look out for, and tells me what to do if I feel any worse. Work sends me home.
All in all, an embarrassing neurotic day. Woody Allen would be proud. I have a splitting headache and look like someone beat me up.
I'll catch up on comments when I'm feeling more spectacular.
