Mom update:
She had a stress test on a treadmill and did not do well. She's still in hospital, and we're not sure how long she will be there. At this point, we're just waiting for an angiogram to see if there's a blockage. Once the doctors have had a look at that, we'll have more information.

Glasses, uh huh. Maybe it's a lingering librarian fetish - the hair in a bun, glasses slipping down the nose, climbing up on the ladder to... ah, that's where it comes from!

My soft focus is on the close end - I can't read without mine, though driving is OK, and weeping at the cinema is much better without them... can't even think about contacts. That's like lying face down in the sand...
