"When I saw you on the market, standing by the phone
With your hair as dark as this, how could you be alone
All the ghosts in love with you, they craned their sorry necks
Like a Viennese machine that's just discovered sex"

-Idonia by Robyn Hitchcock

I went to a movie with Sand tonight. She took me to this movie because she adores Colin Farrell. We do not concur on the merits of Colin Farrell.

She took me to see A Home at the End of the World, written by the same guy who did The Hours. The movie was eh. I think I'd like to read the book.

It's about a bisexual man and a triangle with his gay lover who is more like a brother as they grew up together, and this funky aging hippy woman. They end up living together and having a child. The idea of loving without boundaries or definition strikes a chord within me.

I related to the central character - being bisexual can be quite the outsider experience.

The movie made me glum because it reminded me all at once of: nyc, the early '80s, aids, my hippy poly friends, my long term open relationship, being younger. God knows how I would have felt if the movie had been good.

I came home and had a helpful cry for things that never were and things that are long gone. I made green tea. The tea and The 6ths have made me feel much better.

I want to live with people who love with no expectations except respect. Maybe I need to start a commune. I say that only half in jest.

Maybe I just need to get laid.

If you're thinking I'm sweet, you probably thought I was thinking something else wink

You should at least come for a visit, though. The west coast (even the canadian west) will do you good, I can feel it.

To join the peace corps, I think you need to be a hippie. Do you eat seeds and wear birkenstocks? What are your personal hygiene/shaving habits? You may not be peace corps material.

You might want to consider selling blood. Or internal organs. Other peoples' mind you, but anyways - raise some cash. September 17th I'm accidentally organizing my first large scale LA event, something called the Virgo Sacrifice. Don't worry, it's far more decadent than it sounds. And then on the 18th, all these bands are playing here...
